Happy 45th Birthday

My friends have the knack of hammering my ego to pieces whenever they get a small chance.

Ageing 45 years in itself is a bit depressing and here goes a friend of mine wishing for my 45th birthday!

- wish you a very happy 45th birthday!

- May you joyfully recollect all the years in your past and I fancy you actually could - with the kind of short memory you have that needs to ponder on such a long history!

- Think of those wonderful years you were in college 25 years back and think of those pleasant moments when you got your first job 20 years back (by no means I am intending to remind you of the 2 years whiled away between the two)

- Think of those great school days when you passed out your school final (never mind those stupid thoughts crossing your mind on how barely you managed to pass with your neighbor ranked first in the State. Forget those tense moments when you approached your mom with your marks with the whole neighbor's family partying in your house)

- Think of those endless cricket matches we played (I would hate to even remotely rekindle your memory on the horrific chain of your low scores and how you were thrown out of almost all the local teams and you switched to hockey which eventually ended up later in 3 cards as your only sporting activity)

- Think of those hero worship days when we used to land up in the cinemas on the first day (please do not mistake I am trying to prompt you on your ambitions of becoming an actor which trickled away in to air as days passed with you getting omitted even in the school dramas and once even barred from attending sessions when others practiced)

- Think of those beautiful KG days when you dreamed to become a Doctor (by no way I am trying to point out I am presently a famous Surgeon in UK and you are managing to hold on to a routine job that is being seriously reviewed every quarter - by the way hope you passed thru the suspension period you had mentioned (after I made it clear that I am already aware of that thru a friend of mine) last time when we accidentally met on the road.

Have a great birth day!
